Hey you - yeah you,

Very nice to meet you here! I've just relaunched my personal website (once again). ~~Currently its the 10th February 2021 at 21:02 and that's a list of tools I'm using often.~~ 07.04.2021 and I've just updated the list ;) Currently I'm working on something pretty exciting - make sure to follow me on Twitter if you don't want to miss out.

Tools I'm using

Some of the links below are affiliate links. From those I get a small commission for referring you, at no additional cost to you. Some of these even include a small credit for you. I've noted that down at every link.

Productivity

  • Notion for my daily notes
  • Linear for project management
  • Fantastical as my calendar
  • Invoker as admin panel for my personal applications (affiliate link)
  • 1Password as password manager
  • Brave is my browser. I used safari for quite some time and I'm fine with it - the only downside which made me switch are the ultra slow devtools..
  • Alfred - I couldn't live without it
  • ImprovMX is used to setup email forwarding for my different domains that I can mask my actual email address.

Hardware

  • Apple Macbook Pro (2019) 13" It's my daily work machine, and it's amazing. I've worked on a windows computer for a while, and there wasn't a single day I regretted switching to a Mac.
  • Fully Jarvis standing desk Since I'm spending much time in front of my computer, a standing desk was on my list for quite some time. I did a lot of research, and I'm more than happy with my choice.
  • Apple AirPods Pro I use them every day, and I'm more than happy with them.
  • Apple Magic Trackpad 2 & Apple Magic Keyboard (both Space Gray) I've been using a "normal" mouse for quite a while but I like the trackpad way more.

Development

  • PhpStorm is my main IDE
  • TablePlus as my go-to database tool
  • Laravel Valet is used for local development
  • Tinkerwell is used to try out code without having the need to send thousand test requests (affiliate link)
  • GitHub for all my projects
  • HELO for testing my mails (affiliate link)

Production

  • Ploi manages my servers very carefully (affiliate link)
  • Hetzner is my goto solution for VPS and domains (affiliate link, has 20 euro credit for you)
  • OhDear to ensure everything's ok with my sites
  • Hover most of my domains are registered with Hover.
  • Transmit is used when I have to transfer files from any S3 or SFTP server
  • Fathom analytics for privacy friendly analytics

Other

  • Whenever I have to design something I'm using Figma
  • I'm using HEY for my personal emails
